Sindre Ims

Meet Sindre

Sindre may be the eldest in the group, but stubbornly insists that he is still young and promising. He cares about the culture and foundations that make great companies—especially the things that take decades of hard work to build. At home, the shelves are full of books and chessboards. Just as often, though, he leaves the books untouched and argues with the kids over the PlayStation controller.

Camilla Vassøy Aarnes

Meet Camilla

Camilla knows more about people than anyone else on the team. Not in a scary way—she is genuinely interested. She leads the recruitment of C-level executives for our portfolio companies, combining organisational psychology with strong business sense. It is a combination that rarely goes wrong. At home, she has young children and a house under renovation, both of which require patience.

Meet Anne-Brit

Anne-Brit likes to get things done. She likes to stay in control and always steps up with a positive attitude. She is the company's generalist and looks after both Bethel and everyone at the office. She is often spotted in Sørmarka and will gladly look after your dog. Ronold's cats are welcome too. She normally has two teenagers at home—sometimes as many as fifteen.

Sigmund Steensen Bjørheim

Meet Sigmund

Sigmund named his holding company after Settlers of Catan as a tribute to the board game. At Øgreid, he is part of our CFO Office, with responsibility and specialist expertise in accounting, auditing, tax, corporate structures, financing and compliance. He is also CFO of our real-estate business, Øgreid Eiendom. Sigmund has two children, and if he ever has twins, he plans to call them Debit and Credit.

Halvor Øgreid
Chair
Halvor Øgreid

Meet Halvor

Halvor would not have passed the job interview at Øgreid, but makes up for it by being creative and allergic to social conformity and consensus investments. He has three children, a dog and five ducks.

Eirik Ronold Mathisen
Eirik Ronold Mathisen
CFO
Eirik Ronold Mathisen

Meet Eirik

Eirik loves understanding business models and finds it just as interesting to work with a bakery as with oil-service companies. He has a particular weakness for numbers, and after several years as an equity analyst, he remains deeply interested in stocks. He has two young children, enjoys working out—and drinks far too much coffee.

What we believe about people

01

The best people build winning companies

Our companies do well when strong leaders and teams have room to take responsibility and raise the bar.
02

Curiosity beats a ready-made answer

We want to understand what motivates people, what they do best and how they work with others.
03

Culture must be protected

We want to develop companies without tampering with what made them great in the first place.
04

Leaders need someone to challenge them

Leadership is less lonely when there is someone to call about the difficult decisions.
05

Recruitment is strategy

The most important hires shape a company more than most plans do.
06

Work and life belong together

Long-term results require people who also take care of themselves and their families.

JOIN THE TEAM

We are always interested in meeting talented leaders for future portfolio companies, board chairs and directors, and potential partners for our own team.
